Located in Bensalem, we are proud to be an integral part of the Lower Bucks County and Northeast Philadelphia communities since 1989.
All children are welcome regardless of race, religion, sex or national ancestry. We provide a setting that respects the differences of children and their families regarding culture, religion, race, gender, language and disabilities.
We welcome you to browse the site and feel free to contact us if you have any questions, or to request more information. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Celebrating more than a quarter century of The Judy Sare Nursery School & Kindergarten.
My name is Marsha Meyer and I direct the Judy Sare Nursery School, Kindergarten, and Camp Simcha of Tifereth Israel. Here at Judy Sare, we are dedicated to the development of the whole child. As Director, I promise you a high quality education for your child in a safe, nurturing environment. A well-rounded curriculum will enhance your child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Each curriculum is creatively designed to meet the varied needs of each particular age group as well as those unique needs of individual children. Our goal is for each child to reach his or her maximum potential. Math and reading readiness skills, music, art, health and physical fitness, social awareness, hands on science, Jewish programming and computer fun will all be an integral part of your child’s nursery school experience.
Our camp program is designed with the young child in mind with just the right mix of active outdoor fun and relaxing indoor activities.
What makes us different?
We operate the Judy Sare Nursery School in a state-of-the-art facility. Our dedicated staff of teachers and aides provide an educational, social and emotional atmosphere where you and your child are treated with respect and understanding. The children receive the attention that they need in a nurturing environment where they are praised and encouraged. Our school offers a wide ranging and well balanced program to promote intellectual, physical, emotional, social and cultural development. Play is encouraged in all areas of learning. There is a choice of activities and materials that will help your child develop emotionally and grow academically. Our teachers have experience in working with children and actively engage in activities with them. Children learn consideration of others and are taught to feel good about themselves. They receive individual attention and their strengths and accomplishments are praised. Learning occurs in ways that they can understand.
Parents are provided with ongoing information about their child’s activities and progress. We also provide full day kindergarten as well as half day kindergarten enrichment with pick-up and drop-off to and from area elementary schools.
We stress the importance of family involvement by hosting several yearly opportunities for parents to take part in special programs. We sponsor an active PTO that works on various fundraising events throughout the year. We also have an Education Committee that works on policymaking and program development.
Parents are welcome at any time to observe our program.
You want your child involved in a secure, nurturing, and healthy school environment.

Our modern state-of-the-art facility consists of spacious, colorful classrooms, each designed with both rug and floor areas, child sized furniture, and age appropriate learning materials. Our building is completely air conditioned. Our full time maintenance staff keeps the rooms clean and sanitary. Our nap room has child size cots and most of our rooms are equipped with sinks. We have an indoor playroom for inclement weather, as well as a very large outdoor playground divided into two sections by age. All playgrounds are fenced in and have safety surfaces. We have a large multi-purpose room for gym time and other large group activities.
Our Director and teaching staff are carefully chosen.
Every classroom has competent, caring and qualified teachers. Our nearly 20 teachers build warm relationships with families that foster learning and enable an easier adjustment to the school environment. We employ a wide variety of teaching techniques and methods from “Back to Basics” to the newest in modern teaching ideas and strategies. Our teachers are continually learning through in-service training given by various educational and Judaic organizations. Our staff has been given training by the Bensalem Police & Fire Department regarding the safety of our students, our building and ourselves. We also have yearly CPR and first aid training.
During late care hours, along with our adult supervisors, we also employ high school and college students to “stay and play” with our extended care children.
Policies and procedures are in place at the Judy Sare Nursery School for security, safety and well-being of each child entrusted to our care. We believe that your child’s learning experience is maximized when he/she feels safe and secure.
At the Judy Sare Nursery School we have installed a state-of-the-art security system. This consists of a front door keypad, several television monitors, and audio connections through our phone system. The doors are kept locked and/or physically manned during school hours. The keypad code is available to staff members and synagogue personnel and is changed periodically. All others wishing access to the building must ring the doorbell. You will then be viewed by our office, school and/or maintenance staff via the television monitors and either be buzzed in or asked for identification. Throughout the building, we have also installed peepholes in every classroom door so that we can see out. All nursery families are eligible to receive key fobs. Please note that key fobs are issued on an individual basis, with your photo entered into our system. All classrooms have numbers on the windows and doors, inside and out, for easy identification by police, if needed.
Tuition fees for nursery school, kindergarten and camp are available upon request. To request a fee schedule via email, please contact Marsha Meyer, Early Childhood Director. A limited number of financial need-based scholarships are available through the Judy Sare Nursery School and Jewish Federation of Philadelphia.
Our camp program is designed with the young child in mind. We have just the right combination of active outdoor fun and relaxing indoor out-of-the-sun activities. From water play, mini sports, arts and crafts, nature, cooking, and music to special visiting programs like pony rides, clown show and chick hatching, every day is a special day at Camp Simcha.
We also have our special, special days like Camp Talent Show, Backwards Day, Disney Day and Carnival Day to name a few. The learning never stops: counting games, ABC activities, our “Book A Day” Whole Language Reading Program, etc. continue throughout the summer. And of course, Shabbat doesn’t take a vacation as Fridays are just as special in the summer as they are during the school year. Values such as mitzvot (good deeds), tzedakkah (charity), family, kindness and friendship are evident in all of our programs on a daily basis.
